Overall, I am just feeling VERY excited for the warm weather to roll in, which of course means more time to read OUTSIDE, in the sun. Woot!

Warm weather?? WHERE? ;) We got snow yesterday and it's hovering around 19 degrees today. Brr. I'm so looking forward to SPRING, I just wish it would show up. Great month lady! Here's to an even better April!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Where are you again, I forget? It's going to be in the 40's here again today, though back to 30's tomorrow...50's again by the weekend though! I suppose "warm" is a relative term in the Northeast...
DeleteI am SO happy your March was better than your Feb. I am ALSO happy that you put a lamb joke in your blog. We had some confusion over lamb butter at Easter dinner... (Lamb butter, you know, cow butter made into a mold to look like a lamb, not butter made from sheep's milk... Hence the confusion.)

DeleteI'm glad to hear that things are looking up! As for Spring, it felt like she had finally arrived today, but there are rumors of inclement, wintry weather ahead. I'm too scared to look at the forecast!

ReplyDeleteI found your review of The Storyteller to be very helpful, I'm a big fan of Jodi Picoult (jealous you met her I must admit!) but was actually unsure as to whether I'd pick this one up or not.
And your review of The Night Circus was spot on! I absolutely love that book.

DeleteGlad you guys are better and that you were able to have an easter egg hunt :) We've sunshine here but it's still very cold. I missed your post on Hollywood, reading it now and yes to the lack of ideas and so many adaptations!
ReplyDeleteIt's crazy, isn't it? One person made the point in the comments that at least it brings more publicity to the books, which is true. But 9 times out of 10, I just don't like what Hollywood does with literature.

ReplyDeleteLove the pic of you and small-fry! We spent Easter at the cottage (had one absolutely lovely day) and Hugh must be teething, he had a horrid day on Saturday, was such a mess poor thing. He's perking up a bit now but it won't be the end of it!
I'm quite interested in Picoult's new book, but I still have several of hers I haven't read and I thought I'd wait for the paperback of that one. Glad to hear you enjoyed it so much.
Your non-review posts are so motivating: I often want to write other kinds of posts but my brain always goes blank on the topic. I should start jotting down ideas in my notebook when I have them, since they don't seem to ever hang around. Though I overthink it and my ideas just fizzle and die.
Ugh, sorry to hear about the teething. We had that situation during our Christmas vacation...not fun at all!
