Howdy, reader friends! Believe it or not, this is my 500th post here at The Well-Read Redhead. Yes, you've listened to me jibber-jabber THAT much in 3.5 years! Congratulations! :)
This epic milestone happens to coincide with me thinning out my at-home bookshelves (again...I swear these books just keep multiplying like bunnies!!). So, rather than donating my books to the library (my usual M.O.), I decided to save them for a lil giveaway for my lovely blog readers.
I had quite the nice little pile going, so I randomly split the books in to two batches. Voila: we can have TWO winners! Winner #1 gets 6 books, Winner #2 gets 5. It's a smattering of everything...ARCs and finished copies, hardcover and paperback, used copies and unused copies.
Box #1 contains:
Disclaimer by Renee Knight (hardcover, finished copy)
The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova (paperback, finished copy)
The Whole Golden World by Kristina Riggle (paperback, finished copy)
Five Night Stand by Richard J. Alley (paperback, ARC)
The Daughter by Jane Shemilt (paperback, finished copy)
All Stories Are Love Stories by Elizabeth Percer (paperback, ARC)
Box #2 contains:
Beside Myself by Ann Morgan (hardcover, finished copy)
Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah (paperback, finished copy)
The Race Underground by Doug Most (paperback, ARC)
The Trajectory of Dreams by Nicole Wolverton (paperback, ARC)
Mind of Winter by Laura Kasischke (paperback, ARC)
US/Canada entries only please, sorry, international shipping is lots o' dollas that I do not have!
Thank you all for supporting my little piece of the blogosphere! You can enter the giveaway in the Rafflecopter below. Contest closes 4/9/16!

I enjoy your blog!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteCongrats on that milestone, and thanks for this fab giveaway! I need to do some book thinning myself, but hey, who can resist the lure of free books?
ReplyDeleteHaha I know it! As I give these away, I keep entering more giveaways and requesting on NetGalley anyway... :)
DeleteOops, always read commenting instructions first...I'm just happy to see you posting about whatever is new and exciting for you. From my own recent reading, I've been rereading a lot of Ursula K. LeGuin and remembering how awesome she is. I also read The Eyre Affair and liked it more than I expected. And this month, I'm excited to focus on poetry and drama for the Reading New England challenge. I have a new collection by Vermont poet Leland Kinsey to review that is very worthwhile. Have a great month!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recs! I've heard several excellent reviews for The Eyre Affair, I need to check that one out.
DeleteCongratulations!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah!
DeleteBecause I've never read anything by Edna O'Brien and because I love to read Irish authors/Irish books, I wish you would read and review THE LITTLE RED CHAIRS by Edna O'Brien.
ReplyDeleteMy recent recommendations:
The Guest Room by Bohjalian
The Light in the Ruins by Bohjalian
We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves by Fowler (recent because I just read it)
Catification by Galaxy (nonfiction for cat lovers)
In Wilderness by Thomas
I have several other recommendations, but they are not recent. Let me know if you want them.
Thanks for the recs! I will look into the O'Brien book. And I actually have The Light in the Ruins on my shelf at home, so hopefully I can get to that one soon.
DeleteCongrats! Woohoo. In the next 500 posts, I'd love to see you write about all your favorite books :-)

:) Thanks Tanya! You were one of the giveaway winners, check your email! :)
DeleteHappy 500 posts!
ReplyDeleteIn your next 500, maybe you could write about how you pick your next book! I always love to see how other readers decide.
Great idea! That's definitely something I could write an awful lot about!
DeleteSo cool! Cheers to 500 more posts!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharmaine!
DeleteThanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting the blog!
DeletePerhaps you could ponder how a good author might self-publish and somehow distinguish himself/herself from the pack? I know there have been some runaway bestsellers that were first self-published, but I keep ending up with LibraryThing wins that have never even seen a editor!
ReplyDeleteAs for recommendation, I haven't read anything 5 star this year, although if you like classic detective fiction with a sense of humour, you could do far worse than the Dortmunder series by Donald E. Westlake.
Thanks for the chance to win your books!
Thanks for the recommendation, as well as the post idea. I've talked a little bit about self-pub in the past and kind of shied away from them for a while...however, I know there are a lot of gems out there, so it's likely worth the effort for me to delve back in from time to time.
DeleteBooks from you are always the best!! :)
ReplyDeleteBecause they come with baby clothes! :) hahaha
DeleteCongrats on 500 posts! That's awesome :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Katie!
